"I don't get it"

When Little things first emerged on the internets, it was a pipe dream of yours truly and Alice B. Traysful (margsinthecity,blogspot.com). The synapses started snapping during one dinner with Dot when Alice was repeatedly sending me pictures of Little things she found while begrudigingly holed away at her grandmother's house in Kentucky. Those pictures, combined with everyone's favorite pair of little glasses (on a necklace), compiled the very first entries in the Little things album.

Upon it's inception, feedback was minimal. Alice and I were the only ones who were tittliated by the discovery and post of things of a small size. However, slowly but surely, Little things would come up in casual conversation. The best part of all that though, was that the feedback was not from my closest friends, but from friends of friends, people that I'm not particularly close to but nonetheless friends with on Facebook. I thought this very interesting, not only was I being validated in my search for Little things by someone other than my oldest and dearest co-decadent, but I also realized that some of my friends of friends must log quite a bit of hours on the ole FB.

From my closest friends, I received a lot of queries. "What does that mean?" and "I just don't get it". To them, as I say to you, dear reader, is this: there is no point. I just think things are just a bit more entertaining in miniature form. And I hope you do too.
